Origin story
Born in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica, in 1538, Kwamé Adu was known as “Duho—the Watcher.” From childhood, he heard voices in shadows and instinctively drew mysterious veves. At seventeen, after his former lover was burned alive by overseers, Kwamé fled into the Blue Mountains, where he collapsed at an ancient crossroads shrine. There, Mama Brigitte, Loa of death, vengeance and cemeteries, appeared to him. Desperate for justice and revenge, Kwamé accepted her pact, surrendering his breath, blood and soul. Brigitte carved a sigil into his chest, cursed his heart and transformed him into the first Obeah Vampire, binding his supernatural existence to her power. 7’2 ft in height
